" Someone made this just for me ?" How special is that?

Thanks to our blanket angels from a foster mother . . .
Thank you so much for the beautiful quilts. I got 3 very nervous foster children on Monday evening.
They snuggled those quilts, and I'm certain being wrapped in love & comfort helped ease their sad little hearts.
Thank you, so very much! Love, Maggie
Our Mission My Very Own Blanket is dedicated to warming the heart of every child in the foster care system and children in need with a blanket, to give them a feeling of comfort, security and most of all, a SMILE. Handmade blankets are created through the loving care of volunteers. We connect diverse people, community groups, businesses and services through this volunteer opportunity and ministry to our children in foster care. These gifts are comforting and familiar, and children can take them from one home to another. Thousands of blankets are donated each year to children in foster care. Each blanket is personalized with the child’s name, a tradition for My Very Own Blanket since 1999.
Thanks for all the wonderful donations! You are welcome to come inside to purchase kits or drop off your donation, 9 - Noon, Monday-Friday. Or purchase blanket kits here: To pick up. To be shipped to you. Pick up inside on weekday mornings or at any time from the brown donation bin outside our workshop.
Finished blankets (please include your name with donation) can be dropped off in the bin as well. We collect them daily.
If you would like to come and volunteer, we support social distancing and wearing masks. We appreciate and continue to encourage you to get involved with My Very Own Blanket, helping us bring LOVE to children in foster care.

Our valued shipping partner We are so grateful for our partnership with UnitedHealth Care Community Plan for consistent and generous help with our shipping needs. They help us get blankets into the hands of children in foster care, AND they help us get blanket kits to people outside Central Ohio who want to make our “no-sew” fleece blankets to deliver to children in care in their areas. So helpful! We are so grateful and SO THANKFUL! If you are looking for a new health care plan, please consider joining our generous sponsors!
