ATTACHING TAGS TO YOUR BLANKETS
If you will be donating your blankets in your community, the special tags will need to be SEWN onto the backs of the blankets you make before they are donated.
- Tags cannot be ironed on; doing this will melt the tag's ink onto your iron.
- We also discourage using glue to attach the tags. The glue will melt when the blanket is laundered and placed in a heated dryer.

You don't know how to sew? Ask friends, family, neighbors or co-workers if they have a sewing machine or know how to sew. Often you will find someone who you didn't know had this talent! You can also ask your local sewing or fabric shop to help as well.

RECEIVING YOUR TAGS
• SHIPPING
Shipping is available only to locations more than 30 miles from Westerville, Ohio. The tag price includes packing and shipping. Your order will default to free shipping at checkout. Your tag order will ship USPS as promptly as possible but may take up to 3 weeks to arrive.
• PICK UP
If you live within 30 miles of Westerville, please pick up your tags at our workshop at 407 W. Main Street, Westerville OH 43081. Your tags will be ready for pickup 1 business day after you place your order.
INSIDE PICKUP. 9:00 am - Noon weekdays.
PICKUP ANYTIME from the 24-hour brown bins outside our workshop.

We are just beginning international shipping and need your help with financial support. At the time of your order you will not be charged for shipping. After we mail your package at the USPS, we will notify you and you can make an online donation for that same amount. Thank you for your patience while we determine shipping rates.
WHAT TO DO WITH YOUR FINISHED BLANKETS
Our goal is to donate blankets to children in foster care in the area in which the blankets were made. When you finish your blankets, please find your local children’s services or agency at this link (DELIVERING BLANKETS) to find a location to donate near you!

Our special tags, attached to the back of each blanket, are very important. We encourage blanket makers to sign their first name on the tag and write a short, encouraging note so the child knows who made the blanket just for them and to give each blanket even more of a personal touch.
IDEAS FOR NOTES TO WRITE ON YOUR TAGS (PDF)
When the child writes their name on the tag, it will be easier for others in the foster home to identify the blanket's owner and increase the chances of the blanket staying with the child if they must move between foster homes.
