Foster parents report that “the first night will be more peaceful for the child when they come with a blanket from MVOB.”  Similarly, caseworkers acknowledge the opportunity to break down the “stranger” barrier, building trust and relationships when they give a child “their very own blanket.” 

It is through your generosity that we are able to show so many children in foster care love through blankets, both now and into the future.

Allow us to celebrate with you a few of our 2022 successes.
  • In April, we laid the groundwork for our first international initiative in Australia, where blankets will be made and donated within local communities. 
  • In August, we  began offering our special blanket tags in Spanish and French to align with the diverse population of children in the foster care community. 
  • In September, we distributed blankets to children’s services professionals from each of Ohio’s 88 counties at the Public Children Services Association of Ohio annual conference, reaching 1,760 children statewide.
