GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Over the past 13 years, this idea has grown into a year-round global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.
On Giving Tuesday, you have the power to make an extraordinary difference — a single, tax-deductible gift made on that day helps transform lives all year long, one gift and one blanket at a time.
We encourage you to show your generosity toward children and teens living in foster care and in need in one or more of these ways during GivingTuesday.

1. Give a blanket.
- Purchase a fleece blanket kit for $12 (pick up) or $15 (to ship) to get all you need to make a blanket and to support our work.
- Sponsor a blanket. Donate $20 to sponsor a blanket that will be made by volunteers in senior communities and our friends living with developmental disabilities.
- Donate a quilt or knitted/crocheted blanket. Work alone or with your quilt guild or knitting group. Learn more about making quilts or knitted/crocheted blankets.
- Host a blanket event for friends, co-workers, family. It's simple; learn how.
2. Give your time.
We welcome volunteers in our workshop Monday - Friday mornings, 9 a.m. - Noon, to do a variety of tasks. Ability to sew is not required. Can't come on weekday mornings? Try our Open Volunteer Sessions below!
Open Volunteer Sessions
Help with a variety of projects in our workshop Thursday evenings and/or Saturday mornings. Volunteer just once or more as your schedule allows. Sewing not required.
