In celebration of National Foster Care Month in May, we're coming together for a heartwarming meetup to recognize the incredible work of foster parents and those who make a difference in the lives of children in foster care.  Ohio alone has over 15,000 children in need of loving homes, and together, we can help spread some warmth and joy!

  • ⏰ Time: 6:30 PM – 9:00 PM
  • 📍 Location: Crooked Can Brewing Co., 5354 Center St, Hilliard, Ohio
  • 🎟 RSVP: Limited to 40 participants – Reserve your spot today!  Registration deadline: April 15.
  • 💸 $25 - includes 2 sponsored handmade blanket kits to donate to children in foster care.

​What’s Happening
  • 🌈 Together, we’ll be making handmade blankets that will be donated to children and teens in the foster care system, providing comfort, security, and a smile.
  • 💖 Each blanket will receive a special tag with a place for the child's name and your name, along with a special note.  No matter where these children go, these blankets stay with them, offering a sense of continuity and comfort as they move through different homes.
  • 🤝 This event brings together diverse people, community groups, and businesses to support this cause, making a real difference in the lives of children moving through foster care.

​About My Very Own Blanket
Since 1999, My Very Own Blanket has been dedicated to warming the hearts of children and teens in the foster care system with handmade blankets and quilts. Through the love and care of volunteers known as "Blanket Angels," thousands of personalized blankets are donated each year to foster children, providing them with comfort during a difficult time.

When you sponsor a kit, you will be able to pick up the kit from our workshop and make it on your own.
